Proof Reading Rates
Proofreading strictly refers to the process of checking and marking-up the typesetter's proofs against the edited document and making sure that no errors creep in. Proofreading also usually includes checking that pages are laid out properly, artwork is positioned and labeled correctly and that generally, the document is ready for printing.
Check the proof against the edited original and mark-up all errors and discrepancies.
In the case of a second proof check against the first proof and mark-up all errors and discrepancies.
Artwork, figures and tables are checked for correct positioning and labeling.
Page numbering is checked.
Table of contents page is checked for correct page number referencing.
