RESUME

Norah Spie holds a BA in Mass Communications. She started her journalism career in 1998 after completing her initial diploma in Journalism and Professional Writing at University of Cape Town. She joined The Herald newspaper (Zimpapers) as a Reporter in 1999.

This was after having worked with one of the top NGOs, Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Harare. The extensive role was spread across Southern Africa working mainly in Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Ms Spie then went on to coordinate a youth cultural exchange program between Sweden and Zimbabwe. Her good inter-personal skills won her a rare second chance to facilitate another exchange program organized by CIU/SIDA.

While studying the French language in Paris, France Ms Spie continued her writing as an international correspondent for The Mirror newspaper and the Southern Africa Political  Economist Series (SAPES) and raising democratic issues in Africa as a whole.

While in the U.K, Norah completed an internship programme with the Herald & Post in Luton before becoming a correspondent for various newspapers including the Independent and The Voice- London.

Norah is also an acclaimed Columnist and writes for the widely read New Zimbabwe newspaper.

Ms Spie is currently working on a sequel to her self-published book Parallel Lines and is now based in South Africa.
